Off-Road Transport

When the road ends, STX keeps moving. Purpose-built equipment and experienced operators for the most remote and demanding jobsites.

Heavy transport equipment on remote off-road jobsite

Some of the most critical equipment deliveries in the world happen miles from the nearest paved road. Wind turbine components on mountaintop ridgelines, mining excavators in remote pits, drilling equipment at backcountry wellpads — these moves demand operators who know off-road terrain and have the right equipment to handle it.

Site Assessment: Before every off-road move, our team conducts a site access review — evaluating ground bearing capacity, turning radii, grade, and drainage — to ensure we arrive with the right equipment and a safe delivery plan.

Industries & Environments We Serve

Wind Farm Sites

Turbine component delivery to ridge tops, farm roads, and staged assembly pads.

Mining Operations

Equipment delivery to open-pit mines, underground access ramps, and remote quarries.

Oil & Gas Wellpads

Drill rig components, separators, and compressors to remote wellpad locations.

Forestry & Logging

Heavy machinery delivery through logging roads and forest management sites.

Remote Construction

Foundation equipment, steel, and materials to sites with limited or no road access.

Solar Developments

Tracker systems, inverters, and transformers to utility-scale solar project sites.

Our Off-Road Capabilities

Our fleet includes equipment purpose-built for challenging terrain. Low-ground-pressure trailers distribute weight to minimize ground disturbance on soft or environmentally sensitive terrain. All-terrain tractors provide traction on grades, mud, gravel, and unimproved roads where standard highway tractors cannot operate safely.

For extremely confined sites, our operators are experienced in tight-turn delivery techniques, including rear-steer trailers, drop-and-drag techniques, and coordinated crane-assist off-loading where no conventional delivery approach is possible.

Site Coordination

Off-road deliveries require coordination between our drivers, your site manager, civil crews, and sometimes crane operators. STX provides a dedicated project coordinator for complex off-road moves to keep all stakeholders aligned. We communicate equipment arrival windows, site access requirements, and off-loading procedures clearly and in advance so your crew is ready when we arrive.
