Heavy Equipment Transport
Expert transport of cranes, excavators, bulldozers, and all classes of heavy construction and industrial machinery — safely, compliantly, nationwide.
When it comes to moving heavy construction and industrial equipment, precision and experience aren't optional — they're essential. Southern Tier Express has been transporting some of the heaviest, most complex loads in the industry for over 25 years. Our certified operators, specialized fleet, and in-house permit team work together to ensure every piece of equipment arrives safely and on schedule.
Capacity: STX routinely handles loads exceeding 200,000 lbs and moves equipment over 200 feet in length. No load is too large for our team to engineer a safe, compliant transport solution.

Load Securement & Safety
Every heavy equipment move is engineered with a load securement plan developed by our experienced team. We use grade-70 chain binders, ratchet straps, dunnage, blocking and bracing, and custom fabricated tie-down points when required. All securement practices comply with FMCSA Part 393 regulations and are verified by our safety coordinators before any truck rolls.
Permit & Routing Coordination
Oversized and overweight permits are required in every state our loads pass through. Our in-house permit specialists manage the entire process — from route analysis and bridge weight certifications to pilot car coordination and law enforcement escorts. We handle all 48 contiguous states, and we start permit acquisition as soon as we have your load dimensions.
